GREEN AND SOCIAL BOND STRUCTURING
Even if sustainable finance solutions have been so far largely exploited by local governments and public enterprises, private companies have already started looking for alternative ways to fund their sustainability transition. For example, if local governments and public enterprises in advanced economies issued Green, Social and Sustainable bonds in the early 2010s to fund specific environmentally friendly projects, even non-financial corporations and banks started issuing green bonds before sovereigns, with the first issues by entities in France in 2013. In addition to that, beyond Green bonds, a number of different funding opportunities are made available on capital markets and the banking system; and this programme deep dive into the most relevant ones.
